Nicola Guida - Speleology
A disciplined virtuoso and a freethinking, genre-bending pianist, Nicola Guida is a London-based Italian jazz musician, composer and producer. Academic at heart - he's the author of two respected theses on jazz and holds a Masters in Philosophy.
Guida's style is both cerebral and underground. Eclecticism is what strikes the listener on his album, with his voicings and soloing sometimes bringing Glasper to mind, however 'Speleology' is clearly a convincing piece of work in its own right.
